History and founding
The listed company was established in 2001 and was originally focused on commercial vehicles and bodyworks as Boon Koon Group Berhad, a business its 2018 report says was established in 1977 and founded by Dato' Goh Boon Koon. In April 2017 Datuk Seri Chiau Beng Teik, founder of the Chin Hin building-materials group, bought a 20.02% stake from Dato' Goh. The company diversified into property development in 2017, was renamed Chin Hin Group Property Berhad in September 2018, added construction in 2021, and sold its construction division to its holding company Chin Hin Group Berhad on 27 November 2024 to focus on property development.
