History and founding
According to the company, Kuala Lumpur Metro Group was founded in 1996 as a medium-size contractor in infrastructure construction, earthworks and building works. In 2003 it expanded overseas (including a motorway project linking Qatar to Saudi Arabia) and diversified into high-end property and hotel development. Its first Lexis resort, Lexis Port Dickson, was completed in August 2006. EdgeProp (May 2026) reports the group has been in property development since 2002.
