History and founding
TA Global Berhad was incorporated on 8 August 2008 and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on 23 November 2009 as the property arm of the TA group, whose parent TA Enterprise Berhad (TAE) held 60.17% in 2020. TAE's major shareholder in 2020 was Datuk Tiah Thee Kian (41.92%), and The Edge describes current CEO Tiah Joo Kim as the second-generation leader and son of founder Datuk Tony Tiah. TAE offered 28 sen per share in February 2020 for the shares it did not own; TA Global was delisted on 12 January 2021. [source]
